GIRLS SUB-PLOTS
Kaylee Malfoy is anything Pansy could have hoped for in a daughter. Pretty, catty and downright evil, she’s the perfect little Slytherin princess you could ever expect from the Malfoy family. Kaylee is spoiled rotten, always getting anything and everything that catches her fancy. And lately, what’s caught her fancy is a boy by the name of Cameron Zabini. Only problem? Cameron seems to be the only Slytherin boy that doesn’t return the feeling. But Kaylee’s not about to give up…after all, when you’re a Malfoy, ‘giving up’ simply isn’t in your system.
Athena Weasley is the darling daughter of Ron and Hermione. She’s beautiful and overly brilliant, like her mother, but sadly, doesn’t have the social skills of Hermione. Athena is pretty much a recluse, and spends most of her time locked up in her dormitory, doing homework or with her nose buried in a good book. But lately, a certain young man by the name of Zack McLaggen has taken an interest in opening up this bookworm. Will Athena succumb to the handsome young man, or will she continue to hide herself away for fear of falling in love?
Erika Weasley is much like her mother - blonde, spunky and with a love of life that simply can’t be challenged. She’s wild and outgoing, and has many friends. However, Erika’s far from perfect, and often thinks that about herself every day of her life. Yes, she cuts herself, and while she may seem like the happiest person on earth, Erika’s far from it. It hurts everyone around her, especially a Mr. Erik Goldstein, Erika’s best friend. He loves her as more than that, but Erika’s simply too busy hurting herself to notice. Will she find a way to stop, or will it be too late to save herself?
Christie Weasley is the perfect blend of her parents. With her father’s good humor and her mother’s good looks, it’s no wonder Christie has so many friends in her house. She’s even on the Gryffindor quidditch team, and like Angelina, has inherited the title as Captain. Also like her mother, Christie is fiercly competitive and hates to lose. That hate just magnifies whenever she loses to Cody Nott, the Slytherin’s team captain. But with that hate also comes a bit of attraction…uh oh. Has Christie fallen for her biggest rival?
Jenna Weasley is one of the renown brains of Hogwarts. Like a traditional Ravenclaw, she’s extremely bright, though Jenna tends to be a teacher’s pet and a know-it-all. She’s constantly butting into others’ conversations and is referred to as a brown-noser by even some of her closest friends. So it’s no wonder Jen takes comfort in Carson Thomas, the “school psychiatrist”. But when she meets with Carson, Jenna feels more than just comfort…but wait, she can’t fall in love with a younger boy!
Crystal Weasley may have the same curly hair as her mother, but she’s far more like Rita Skeeter than anyone else. Crystal is obnoxious, bossy and a total eavesdropper. She constantly pries into the lives of other, calling it her ‘duty as a journalist’. Because of this, Crystal has few friends - hell, few people even acknowledgee her. Crystal isn’t prone on changing herself, but it’s lonely at the top. So when Callum Montague starts taking an interest in the blonde, she goes for in whole-heartedly. Yay for requited love?
Keiko Corner is the splitting image of her mother. Pretty and an incredibly sweet girl, she’s just a nice person. But being nice has its drawbacks, and Keiko finds herself being walked on all the time. What’s more is the fact that she’s very shy, and though everyone likes her, Keiko has a small group of friends that she’s always with - Ava Callahan, Leslie Davies and Bianca Hopkins. However, when a certain Evan Weasley starts giving her secretive smiles, Keiko hides away even more than usual. The problem? Being afraid of love is harder than it looks…
Leslie Davies is a lot less gigglish than her mother, that’s for sure. A pretty young girl with three best friends - Ava, Keiko and Bianca - Leslie has no shortage of popularity, and likes to flirt with anything that’s male and can breathe. Yes, Leslie’s an incurable flirt, and she loves to make idiots of the opposite sex. Her group refers to her as the ‘flirty’ one, and while that’s normally perfectly fine, all seems to change when Chase Peakes enters the picture. First of all, he won’t flirt back with her - and Leslie just might like him. Oh, and secondly? He’s a year younger than she is!
Sara Ackerley is, quote-on-quote ‘the Ravenclaw Nerd’. While she may be pretty and have a good fashion sense, Sara is the type of person that’s shy, awkward, and a definite genius. She’s never gotten lower than an ‘O’ in her life, and it’s said that she’ll be the next Ministress of Magic. But Sara hates her social life, and longs for a friend or a boyfriend. So this time, when she starts to get a crush on a guy - Abraxas Malfoy, to be exact - Sara pursues the relationship with her heart and soul. Abraxas likes her back, but has a problem opening up to Sara. How will the awkward Ravenclaw nerd get the Slytherin poet to truly confide in her?
Desdemona Goyle is pretty, unlike her parents, but her brains? Just as bad as her father’s before her. She’s not the brightest bulb in the box, and is always the last to laugh at even the easiest of jokes. Des is just plain dumb, and she knows it, too. Unlike her manipulative friends, Desdemona attracts boys only because she’s so easy to take advantage of. So when James Potter starts after the girl, she hightails it to the Slytherin table. No way will she let herself be manipulated again!
Lynette Hooper is pretty ignored, as far as she’s concerned. Everyone loves Leslie Davies more than her; all the guys think Leslie is prettier than her. Yes, Lyn is deadly jealous of her fellow Gryffindor, and wants nothing more than to push her off a cliff. So when Leslie shows interest in a certain Chase Peakes, Lynette goes after him, just to bug her. And…well, she seems to be winning! But what happens when Chase finds out Lynette doesn’t truly care about him, just wants to beat a longtime rival?
Bianca Hopkins is pretty and extremely bubbly. You can’t help but love her, despite all her dorky tendencies and hyperactivity, and she has a tightly-knit group of friends - Keiko Corner, Leslie Davies and Ava Callahan. However, there are a few things that REALLY get Bianca down, and when she’s sad, she’s overly depressed. Her affliction at the moment? Ivan Krum. He keeps sending her mixed messages, something Bianca doesn’t like. Will she overcome her depression to win over the one she loves, or will Bianca be down and out?
Ava Callahan is the sarcastic, cynical leader of her group of friends. She’s funny, sort-of crazy, and obnoxious - in both the best and both ways possible. You could call her one of Hogwarts’ most beloved blondes, and she is. But there are some people that just can’t STAND Ava - one of them being Brody Finnigan. Yes, Ava and Brody are always at it, constantly clawing each others’ eyes out with their stupid and random arguments. But her friends and his are completely aware of the fact that they’re practically in love with each other, and are constantly trying to hook the two up. Will Ava succumb to her friends and their wild plans, or will her stubbornness and refusal to cooperate get the better of this pretty blonde?
Taylor Callahan is the younger girl in the family, and while Ava may get on her nerves, she adores her to death. The two are the best of friends, and ignore completely the age barrier. However, Taylor is often upstaged by her cynical sister, and is getting a bit tired of it, too. Especially when it starts concerning Nolan Macmillan, Taylor’s friend and the man of her dreams. When Nolan gets a huge crush on Ava and just won’t leave her alone, Taylor gets fed up. She slaps Nolan in the face and runs off, declaring she never wants to see him again. And while she doesn’t blame her sister, Tay ignores every attempt Nolan makes at an apology - and prominently refuses to see the light. Guess stubbornness runs in the family…
BOYS SUB-PLOTS
Abraxas Malfoy isn’t a family favorite, like his sister. Instead, he’s often referred to as the Malfoy Mistake - true, he’s evil and in Slytherin, but unlike his father, Abraxas isn’t a very social person. And though he does ‘sleep around’, Abraxas’ main love in life is depressing poetry - something hidden from the world and frowned upon by his family. So it’s no surprise that Abraxas falls for a fellow poet, a Ravenclaw girl by the name of Sara Ackerley. But will Abraxas shield his love of poetry and want of confessing to Sara to keep his family’s reputation in check?
James Potter is just like his grandfather - good-looking, athletic, and egotistical to the max. Also like the first James, Harry’s son is quite popular, and could get any girl - besides the Slytherins - that he wanted. Sadly, though, the girl he wants is in Slytherin. Desdemona may not be all that smart, but she’s quite beautiful, and James wants her more than anything. But James is a true Gryffindor, and he isn’t about to soil his good name with a Slytherin girl! …Right?
Brody Finnigan is charming, good-looking, and quite temperamental. Yes, much like his father, Brody is pompous and can’t at all control his temper. It’s not odd to see him arguing with a random person in the hallways, and though Brody has many friends, he finds it hard not to blow up at someone daily. A particular sparring partner of Brody’s is the pretty young Ava Callahan, an extremely opinionated blonde Ravenclaw. The two can’t for the lives of them get along, though it’s not much of a secret that Brody harbors strong feelings for the girl. Will Brody find a way to keep his temper under control, or will he lose both it and the one he’s destined to be with?
Liam Finnigan is the exact opposite of his older brother. Quiet, shy and introverted, he’s as sweet as can be and gets along with anyone that crosses his path. But Liam’s not exactly great with the ladies, and often has a hard time when around pretty girls. Which would explain why every time he’s near Ashley Caldwell, Liam is even quieter than usual. Will he find a way not to trip over his tongue, or will Liam be dubbed as ‘the mute kid’ for the rest of his life?
Cameron Zabini isn’t your typical Slytherin. He’s very dark and sinister, and while that isn’t odd for a Slytherin, Cameron has pretty much zero friends in his house. However, he’s often seen with the Ravenclaws, and in all honesty, prefers their intelligence to the annoyance that he feels when with fellow Slytherin. And that irritated-ness just grows and grows when Cam starts to be pursued by the beautiful Kaylee Malfoy. Yet, there’s something about her…will Cameron keep running from Kay to deny his feelings, or will he stop fighting destiny?
Cody Nott is a self-proclaimed ‘quidditch junkie’. And his self-proclaimation is right - Cody’s obsessed to the bone. Everything relates to his favorite sport, and everything goes back to it. It’s not really a wonder that he has few friends, due to his uncurable obsession. And it’s also not a wonder that his biggest rival is Christie Weasley, the Gryffindor captain. But it IS a wonder that he’s so in love with her! After all, how the hell can Cody be attracted to someone he wants so badly to beat?
Nolan Macmillan is funny and popular, and can cheer anyone up in the blink of an eye. He’s also quite the handsome fifth year, and a great guy with many girls after him. The big problem? Well, Nolan can be an obnoxious jerk, even if he doesn’t mean to come off that way. And Nolan definitely rubs off on Taylor Callahan the wrong way when he gets a crush on and starts flirting uncontrollably with her big sister, Ava. Yeah, Taylor was one of Nolan’s many admirers - and friends. But now, she wants nothing to do with him. How will Nolan switch his feelings from elder to younger Callahan girl, and even if he manages to, will Taylor still like him?
Zack McLaggen is slightly egotistical and pompous, like his father…ok, well, maybe more than slightly. He takes great pride in himself and his accomplishments, and won’t hesitate to tell others about them, either. However, he’s also a ladies’ man with his good looks and so-called talent. But everyone gasps dramatically when Zack openly declares his love for Athena Weasley, a particularly reclusive Ravenclaw girl. Will he be able to open up Athena, or will she hide her nose in a book yet again?
Erik Goldstein is a truly likeable fellow. Sure, he’s clumsy and kind-of a dork, but he’s sweet, cheerful, and rather good-looking. He’s also very close with miss Erika Weasley, a pretty blonde Gryffindor that is generally the happiest person around. However, Erik has noticed a change in his best friend, and it’s not for the better. Erika has come to school more than a few times with bloody, scraped-up wrists and a perma-frown. So Erik starts to worry - yes, as you guessed, he has more-than-platonic feelings for his blonde friend. Will Erik confess his feelings before it’s too late, or will Erika be completely gone…forever?
Chase Peakes is living the good life - at least, the way he sees it. With looks, charm and a good sense of humor, he’s one Gryffindor that gets along with almost everyone. But when that Leslie Davies starts flirting a little too much with Chase, it starts to ‘cramp his style’. He tries to push her away, but she’s relentless! So finally, Chase does the unthinkable - asks out Leslie’s biggest rival, Lynette Hooper. Yeah, so he doesn’t really like Lyn - the whole thing is a ploy to get her away, really. But what happens when Chase discovers the one he really likes is the same one he’s trying to run away from?
Ivan Krum is like his father - well, sort-of. He has the Bulgarian accent and the love for ladies, but he’s not at all competitive or skilled with a broomstick. However, Ivan has many talents to speak of - he’s sensible, a good person and great at flirting. The flirting part comes in quite handy with miss Bianca Hopkins, a girl that Ivan just might have a crush on. The keyword is “just might”, though. Ivan’s not quite sure what to think, but he does know that it’s starting to frustrate poor Bianca. Will Ivan sort out his feelings quickly enough, or will he be slower than he should be?
Carson Thomas is a great listening, and that’s considered the best thing about him - besides his awesome hair, of course. Either way, he’s considered the school psychiatrist, and spends a lot of time talking to various students about their problems. Carson is totally trustworthy, and a nice guy to match. But when one of his “patients”, Jenna Weasley, starts to have a crush on Carson, his world is turned upside-down. She’s an older girl, and very pretty, but Car’s just not sure if he likes her back…at least, that’s what he thinks. Could the psychiatrist be having problems of his own?
Evan Weasley has veela blood in him, which would explain his good looks and blonde hair. And normally, his veela blood gives him great luck with the ladies. So Evan is more than surprised when his smiles sent to Keiko Corner don’t seem to make her blush. Rather, they just make her hide - further away from Evan than he would like. Is she afraid of him, or just not interested? Well, Evan intends to find out…
Callum Montague seems like a pretty normal guy. He’s average-looking and has friends, though he’s not overly popular. He’s had girlfriends, but not more than a few. And Callum’s pretty ok with that, too. Which is why he’s more than happy when he and Crystal Weasley start bonding together over a homework assignment he needs help with. A relationship ensues, and voila! Yay for them!
