Name: Xiao Qin Ling
Age: 15
Year: 5th
House: Ravenclaw/Gryffindor
Slytherin
Hufflepuff
Blood: Wizard, muggle-born
Wand: Dragon Wing Ash 14in wand.
Appearance (1+ paragraphs):
Layered black hair which are around neck length and wears cobalt blue contacts. She sometimes likes to tie up some of her hair on her right. 5.32 feet tall. Her complexion is quite tanned due to spending a lot of time under the sun but she likes it just the way it is and doesn’t bother with trying to become fairer. She's usually seen wearing a t-shirt/sleeveless top and a pair of jeans, sometimes even a cap/visor.
Personality (1+ paragraphs):
She's a muggle-born who's very outgoing but conceals how she really feels about certain things by putting on a confident facade. Being someone with a wild imagination, the cheerful girl was ecstatic when she discovered about the wizarding world. Hyper and energetic, she's a sporty girl and hates to lose. She's also very stubborn and strong willed, if someone tells her to do something that annoys or pisses her off, she would do the exact opposite. Due to her daring nature, she can be quite reckless at times. Plus, she can be quite a drama queen and has lots of quirky and crazy ideas (which tend to include matchmaking, spying on others and pranking just to name a few) due to her desire to make life more interesting. This also results to her being sort of a busybody who knows almost everything one can know about the students of Hogwarts. The Chinese girl also happens to like giving out advice. She really just wants to have fun and can get bored of things quite easily. Among her interests are fashion and music as well as sports.
Behind her quirky and spunky spirit is a competitive one. Always striving to be good, no, the best at various things that she sets her heart on, she wouldn’t back down. Failing at something tends to make her very moody but more then often, she would try not to let it show among her peers. She also detests being alone and treated as though she was invisible most of the time. Although she would never admit this, she secretly hates being out of the lime light all the time. However, she does have an optimistic attitude which tries to block out pessimistic thoughts. Being a big fan of fairytales (especially Disney) she likes to believe that happy endings are true.
History/Background (2+ paragraphs):
A 15 year old Chinese girl who was born in Taiwan and stayed there for around half of her life. When she was eight, her family moved to London. Due to her parent’s income, they are considered well off. Her parents were very surprised when they discovered about her magic powers and such but didn't really make a big fuss over it in any negative way. Although they don’t pressure her much, they’ve always had rather high hopes of their only child. However, there is one thing that doesn’t seem to show. Seemingly like the average family, that is merely what they want others to see. The brunette’s parents have the tendency to argue a lot. So much that it would occasionally result to the destruction of certain poor innocent objects in the house, even furniture. They each have considerably a lot of pride, something that was sadly inherited by their daughter which results her lack of ability to admit whenever she’s wrong. One of the first few reasons why she likes to matchmake people is because that way, if those relationshipls work out well, she believes that she too would find her fairytaled happy ending, unlike her parents.
Xiao Qin never really fitted in very well in her old school before she turned 11 and arrived in Hogwarts. She was always rather queer in her peers' opinions. When she was 11, she saw a new school(Hogwarts) as a brand new start where she could be anyone she wanted to be. It was then that she decided not disappoint anyone further and to work harder to achieve everything that she wanted to achieve which usually means being the best in everything that she likes or thinks that is necessary. However, the reason isn’t for her parents because the one that she has always been disappointing throughout her life was actually herself.

‘All ready!’ Xiao Qin thought gleefully as she straightened her uniform lazily one more time before leaving the girl’s dorm. It was another day at Hogwarts and the girl couldn’t help but feel that things had been quite a bore lately. ‘This place needs more life…There isn’t even any gossip even worth listening to nowadays.’she thought, letting out a sigh.
She took a quick glance at her time table just one more time before making her way pass the crowd of students. “Didn’t ya hear? The End of Summer Dance is coming up!” she couldn’t help but hear someone close to her say, probably to a friend. Sure enough, she turned around and saw two boys chatting away behind her.
‘The End of Summer Dance!’she brightened up at that, it looked as though a date had been set for the upcoming event. That would mean that plenty of poor single people will be out there searching high and low for a date, at least in the hyper girl's opinion. ‘Perfect!’Her cobalt blue eyes were practically shining just as she spotted her next victim for matchmaking. ‘Looks like my day wouldn’t be so dull after all!’ With that thought stuck in her head, she hastily rushed up to the mousy brown haired girl who she spotted earlier on, instantly forgetting all about breakfast.
